Assam to send 1,000 students to Andaman & Nicobar

The Assam government would send 1,000 students from the state as a study tour to Cellular jail in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday. Participating in the one-day special session of the Assam Assembly, the Chief Minister said that many freedom fighters from Assam and other northeastern states were incarcerated in cellular jails. Also the one-day special session of Assam assembly was held on the occasion of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Claiming that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga campaign’ became a people’s movement, Sarma said “we received unprecedented response across the state”.

Assam Govt to Suspend Internet Services during Direct Recruitment Exams 2022

The Assam government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has decided that mobile internet services will be suspended for four hours in the districts where the Assam Direct Recruitment Exam 2022 will be held to fill vacancies in Grade III and Grade IV jobs. Assam registers new Fresh Covid Cases

Assam has registered 202 more people positive for the virus, raising the tally to 7,43,048, according to the reports. Along with it the death toll remained unchanged at 8,026. Assam CM Sarma announces 1 Lakh ‘minor’ criminal cases to be withdrawn
