Puducherry to begin budget session from Aug 10

The Budget Session (2022-23) of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly will begin on August 10, Speaker R Selvam said. He said the session would begin with the customary address by Lt. Tripura govt inks MoU with NESAC

The government of Tripura signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with North East Space Application Center (NESAC), Shillong for 21 projects including disaster management and resource mapping. NESAC Director, SP Agarwal and Tripura Science, Technology and Environment Secretary Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty signed the MoU on Monday. Of the 21 projects, the Center has already approved 20 projects for capacity building as part of technology dissemination and transfer as well as the development of resource mapping, Chakraborty said. West Bengal Minister Partha Chatterjee was flown to Odisha in an air ambulance by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday and admitted to AIIMS in Bhubaneswar as per orders of the Calcutta High Court. Elephant carcass found in Jharkhand

On Saturday, the dead body of an adult male elephant was found in a forest in Jharkhand's Ranchi district. “The cause of death is yet to be known. No injury marks were found on the body. A team of forest officials and a veterinary doctor have been sent to the spot, and the post-mortem examination is underway,” said Srikanth Verma, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Ranchi. E-ticketing bus service in Assam

Assam State Transport Corporation has launched an online bus e-ticketing service. The service was initially launched in Kamrup (Metropolitan) and Sonitpur districts in collaboration with Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited (AMTRON), said a notification issued by Rahul Chandra Das, Managing Director of ASTC. The software is designed for a pilot project from Guwahati to Tezpur via Nagaon and other routes will follow later.
