Ten people sentenced for life in murder case

In 2016, the court sentenced 10 people to life imprisonment for murdering a man of Karn village named Ashok Kumar. Also, District Judge Jitendra Kumar Pandey imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on each of the accused. Ashok Kumar, a resident of Karna village, was murdered in 2016, following which a case was registered against 10 people.

Ladakh reports fresh COVID-19 cases

Ladakh reported four new Covid infections in a day, taking the total number of cases in the union territory to 28,543. All the new cases were reported from Leh. Also, 6 people have recovered from the disease and been discharged from a hospital in Leh. The total number of covid recoveries is 28,190. As per reports, 228 people have died of COVID-19 in Ladakh, including 168 in Leh and 60 in Kargil, they said. A total of 174 samples were tested for COVID-19 in Ladakh, including 145 in Leh and 25 in Kargil, they said.

196 COVID-19 cases registered in Assam

Assam recorded 196 new Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 7,25,677. As per reports, 196 coronavirus patients have been detected across the state. The National Health Minister said 74 new cases were reported from Kamrup Metropolitan District comprising Guwahati city, followed by 30 from Kamrup and 20 from Dibrugarh. No deaths due to infection have been recorded in the last 24 hours. Lighting strike kills 3 tribals in Madhya Pradesh

According to reports, three tribals were killed and many others injured after lightning struck a forest area in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district. The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when Ajanoy was going for a picnic near a river in the forest area. While they were busy fishing, there was sudden lightning.
