In Jammu and Kashmir, the Election Commission has started revising the electoral roll in the union territory to be prepared by August 31, sources said on Wednesday. Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar and Election Commissioner Anup Chandra Pandey conducted a review and directed the Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir to prepare maps of the redrawn assembly constituencies. The electoral roll needs to be revised before the first assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
