Mizoram reports two more COVID-19 cases

Two new COVID-19 cases were reported in Mizoram on Monday, taking the tally to 2,28,575. The state reported 28 cases on Sunday. The drain desilting work is in "war-phase" ahead of the onset of monsoon and is expected to be completed by June 15. So far, workers have removed 87,000 metric tonnes of silt from 688 drains, the Delhi Municipal Corporation said in a statement. “The MCD is working on war footing to meet the target of cleaning all drains under its jurisdiction before the onset of monsoon. The ruling Congress on Friday won three of Rajasthan's four Rajya Sabha seats, overcoming challenges from BJP-backed independent candidate Subhash Chandra. BJP got one seat. Congress candidates Randeep Surjewala, Mukul Wasnik and Pramod Tiwari and BJP's Ghanshyam Tiwari were declared elected by the Election Commission late on Friday night.
