Five workers were injured after a part of an under-construction building collapsed in Pune's Wanwadi area on Monday afternoon, police said. The injured were rushed to the hospital, their treatment is undergoing. The incident took place around 3 pm in an under-construction building where a mosque for the Bohra community is planned.

Mizoram records new COVID-19 cases

Mizoram reported 83 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 16 fewer than the previous day, taking the tally to 2,27,419, a health department official said. The death toll from COVID-19 remains at 696. The single-day positivity rate rose to 15.46 percent from 10 percent the previous day, as new cases were detected from 537 samples tested. Mizoram currently has 714 active COVID-19 cases, while 2,26,009 people have recovered from the infection so far.

New COVID-19 case in Puducherry

Puducherry on Saturday registered one new COVID-19 case, pushing the overall caseload to 1,65,789 while no new death was recorded in the last 24 hours. A new infection was detected after 118 samples were tested, Health Director G Sriramulu said in a release. No new deaths were reported in its four regions - Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam - in the last 24 hours and the toll remained at 1,962.

India records fresher covid-19 cases

India on Thursday reported 3,303 new COVID-19 cases taking its tally to 4,30,68,799, while active cases rose by 16,980, according to Union Health Ministry data.
