India records fresher covid-19 cases

India on Thursday reported 3,303 new COVID-19 cases taking its tally to 4,30,68,799, while active cases rose by 16,980, according to Union Health Ministry data. Daily cases crossed the 3,000-mark after 46 days. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 5,23,693 with 39 more deaths, data updated at 8 am said. Active cases account for 0.04 percent of total infections. The national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.74 percent, the ministry said. Four arrested in drugs case in Bengal

Four persons were arrested in West Bengal's Siliguri and brown sugar worth Rs 2.1 crore was seized from them. Two residents of Murshidabad and Nadia districts in Porajhar under New Jalpaiguri police station area on Tuesday night, an official said. Man, wife both killed over old rivalry

Three men stabbed a couple to death here over an old enmity, police said on Wednesday. Harpal Saini (50) and his wife Koshal (48) were returning from the Muzaffarnagar court to Khalwada village when three men on a bike dragged them from an e-rickshaw and killed them, they said. Family died in Kerala

Four people, including a 12-year-old boy, were killed and another seriously injured in a collision with a lorry on the national highway near Payalkulanga in the coastal district on Wednesday. Police said the vehicle came from the opposite direction. The car was completely harmed in the collision. 30 new Covid cases in Telangana
