Recently, there was a blast in three places of Assam, Sivasagar, Tinsukia and Jorhat and ULFA-I have claimed the blasts. In connection to the blast, Assam Police has arrested three men from Guwahati on Tuesday. During a Cabinet meeting, presided by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has cleared the allowance for 2024-25 liquor sales at airports, metro and railway stations, and cruise ships. The Assam government has decided to convert madrassas into Middle English (ME) schools which were functioning under the funds of the government. According to the sources, 1,281 madrassas which were located in Lower Assam Region and Barak Valley were converted into general schools of 21 districts of the region, Assam.
