1181 adivasi insurgents gets Rs. 47 cr for rehabilitation from Assam govt

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a programme held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra International Auditorium distributed fix deposit certificate of Rs 47 crore to Adivasi militants in Assam on Sunday. According to the sources, the fix deposit certificate was distributed to five Adivasi militant groups to surrender cadres. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Inspired by the Prime Minister's vision for Bharat, 7,229 insurgents in Assam have returned to the mainstream since May 2021.
