Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the state government and the Army wanted a complete withdrawal of the controversial law but the Centre took a 'cautious' approach by continuing it in some areas. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a programme held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra International Auditorium distributed fix deposit certificate of Rs 47 crore to Adivasi militants in Assam on Sunday.
