July 1 deadline for rice millers; Blender machine installation

Assam government had announced about rice to be procured by the government agencies from July 1 have to be mandatorily blended with fortified rice kernels. As per reports, Assam Government have provided subsidy of Rs. 2 lakh to buy blender machine required for the purpose of blending of general rice grains with FRK. And deadline given for installation of blender machine is July 1 after the date non-FRK rice grains shall not be procured by any government rice grain procurement agencies. Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) is activated in Assam.
