Approval for Industrial status by Assam Government

State’s tourism sector was approved by Assam Government to give industrial status to make it appealing to global travelers. With the grant of industrial sector now restaurants, cafeterias, health clubs, Spas, wellness centers will be eligible under the industrial policy. Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah said, fresh investment in tourism sector will help in improving employment generation, private-public partnership and along with it infrastructure development. The newly implement policy aims at environmental friendly investment in the sectors beside capital formation and the creation of gainful employment.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma directed Assam Police to hold inspection for teachers who came from outside Assam to teach Madrasas . The teachers will have to appear in nearby police station from time to time when asked. According to the reports, police cracked down on alleged modules of terrorist organisation Ansarul Bangla Team, and 51 Bangladeshis were discovered among the preachers at Madrasas. On Friday, three men in Dibrugarh, Assam got arrested for illegally transporting bags of beef. Under Cattle Preservation (Amendment) Act, 2021 three of them were charged and arrested along with their chopping knives. The accused were identified as as Imran Ali, Miraz Khan and Younus Khan.
