Tata Motors introduces the all-new Ace Gold+ XL; reaffirms 21 years of progress with ‘Ikkis Saal Bemisaal’ campaign

Tata Motors has launched the all-new Ace Gold+ XL, marking 21 years of its iconic small commercial vehicle, the Tata Ace. The launch also coincides with the rollout of the nationwide ‘Ikkis Saal Bemisaal’ campaign, celebrating entrepreneurs who have built livelihoods around the ‘Chota Haathi’. Designed for higher payloads and longer applications, the Ace Gold+ XL features an 8-foot load body and 1-tonne payload capacity, aimed at boosting cargo volume and earnings. Powered by a 700cc turbocharged diesel engine delivering 22 PS power and 55 Nm torque, the vehicle uses Lean NOx Trap (LNT) technology, eliminating the need for Diesel Exhaust Fluid and reducing maintenance costs.

Launching the vehicle, Pinaki Haldar, Vice President & Business Head – SCVPU, said the new variant strengthens the Ace’s role in modern last-mile logistics, offering improved efficiency and reliability for entrepreneurs. Introduced in 2005, the Tata Ace pioneered India’s four-wheel small cargo vehicle segment. The company said one Ace has been sold every 4.25 minutes over the past 21 years, with over 26 lakh owners nationwide.

The new model is supported by Tata Motors’ SCV ecosystem, including Sampoorna Seva 2.0 and a network of over 2,500 service outlets. In Kolkata, demand for last-mile delivery vehicles continues to grow rapidly, driven by e-commerce expansion and dense urban logistics needs. Higher payload capacity and lower operating costs offered by vehicles like the Ace Gold+ XL are likely to attract small business owners and fleet operators across the city, further strengthening Tata Motors’ presence in eastern India’s commercial vehicle segment.
