Villagers in the Bhuiyapara area of Kailashahar Sub-division, Unakoti District, have uncovered an ancient sculpture of Lord Brahma during development works on January 21. Unakoti, a renowned archaeological site dating back to the 7th–9th centuries, is famed for its Shaiva rock carvings and natural beauty. The discovery has drawn significant attention, with large crowds gathering to view the relic. Kailashahar Sub-divisional Magistrate Pradip Sarkar stated, “The idol was found during groundwork and has since been moved to the Unakoti District Magistrate’s office for preservation.
