Over 10,000 solar-powered pump sets have been established by the Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) to guarantee irrigation in rural agriculture under the PM Kusum initiative. According to a statement made by an official on January 15, TREDA has already installed 3,616 solar power pumps, benefiting 3,616 marginal farmers by putting 7,232 acres of agriculture under guaranteed irrigation.
