The Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier has made significant strides in securing the Indo-Bangladesh border, seizing contraband worth over Rs 46 crore and detaining 675 individuals involved in illegal cross-border activities in 2024. In a comprehensive operational report, the BSF outlined the successful seizures, which include 66,316 bottles of Phensedyl, over 9,200 kg of cannabis, more than 600,000 Yaba tablets, and other prohibited goods such as gold, brown sugar, and firearms.
