Assam University cancels TDC (CBCS) exam due to flood situation & relief camp

The Assam University, Silchar had earlier scheduled to being TDC (CBCS) even-semester examinations by June 1, 2024 but due to ongoing natural calamities flood, continuous rain, heavy storm and relief camp on the campus the authorities have decided to cancel the exam. Few days back, An Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) had issued a warning notice from the India Meteorological Department, about heavy rainfall within the parts of northeast states. Assam govt. orders to keep students hydrated during school hours

Amidst increasing weather temperature in the state, Assam the education department has issued a notification to protect students from the heat wave. The Elementary Education Department of Assam's Kamrup Metropolitan District issued a notification which said schools need to ring the water bell three times every day during school hours so the students stay hydrated and remain protected from the scorching heat. Clash between two communities in Assam’s Bajali dist

Several people turned violent against each other due to which many were injured and shifted to nearby hospital. Miscreants attempts to kill youth over family feud, Assam

A youth in Digboi, Assam identified as Amrit Thakur was brutally attacked by a group of miscreants who attempted to kill him.
