A tragic series of human-elephant conflict incidents unfolded in Assam on May 30, resulting in the deaths of two villagers in Nagaon district and a pregnant wild elephant in Goalpara district. In Nagaon, two people, identified as Chahaj Uddin and Hanufa Khatun, lost their lives after a herd of wild elephants entered Kandapara and Ranglubasti villages under the Kampur Range Forest Office during the early hours of the morning.
