India records 2,338 Covid cases

According to the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 2,338 new Covid infections in a day taking its number of cases to 4,31,58,087 while the number of active cases stood at 17,883. The death toll rose to 5,24,630 with 19 more deaths due to the viral disease. According to the ministry, active cases comprised 0.04 percent of total infections and the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.74 percent. India's active caseload hike up by 185 in 24 hours.
