Nepal's COVID-19 tally reached 18,241 with the detection of 147 new cases in the last 24 hours, the health ministry said on Thursday. Nepal has so far conducted 331,095 Polymerase chain reaction tests in 28 laboratories across the country. In the last 24 hours, 156 coronavirus patients have recovered, Health Ministry Spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam said. In total, 12,840 people have recovered from the disease and 5,358 active cases are undergoing treatment. A day after the findings of a sero-surveillance in Delhi showed 23.48% of the people in the national capital had exposure to COVID-19, Health Minister Satyendar Jain said such study will be conducted every month to formulate better policies for tackling the novel coronavirus. He said on Wednesday that A fresh sero-survey will be conducted in the national capital from August 1-5.
