An earthquake of moderate intensity hit Manipur on Sunday, according to the Earth Science Department of Manipur University.The earthquake of 5.1 magnitude hit Manipur at 4.16 pm, it said, adding that the epicentre of the quake is located 9 km from Ngopa area of neighbouring state of Mizoram. Meghalaya: Extends night curfew, ban on inter-state movement of people till June 30.

The Meghalaya government has extended the night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am till June 30, officials said on Sunday. The night curfew was to be in force till Monday. The state government has also extended the ban on inter-state movement of people till June 30, they said. Arunachal records highest with 32 fresh Covid positive cases

The state , Arunachal Pradesh reported its first Covid positive cases on 2nd April after a 31 years old man , who attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi tested positive. He recovered and was discharged from hospital on 16th April 2020. The state registered its highest single day spike un Covid-19 cases as 32 more people tested positive for it, a senior health official said it on Saturday. The state reported its second case after a gap of six weeks on May 24 when a student returning from the national capital tested positive for the deadly virus.

New Delhi: The number of coronavirus cases in India today crossed the undesirable 4 lakh mark. The last one lakh coronavirus cases were reported in just seven days, causing an alarm in the country. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there are 4,10,461 cases of coronavirus in India while the death toll has reached 13,254.
