One Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan sustained injuries when suspected militants detonated a low-intensity improvised explosive device ( IED) in south Kashmir's Pulwama on Sunday morning. An official said the explosives were triggered minutes after a convoy of the paramilitary CRPF passed through the Gongoo area. “Militants had planted the low-intensity IED under a tree near Peaks Automobiles in Gongoo area of the district. A man in his early 50s, suffering from coronavirus symptoms, allegedly died due to the lack of hospital beds and ICUs in the Bengaluru. The main aide of notorious gangster Vikas Dubey involved in the attack in which eight police personnel were killed was arrested in a pre-dawn encounter in Kanpur, a senior police official said on Sunday. Fire broke out on the 10th floor of a residential building in Kolkata''s Alipore area on Saturday evening, police said.There are no reports of any casualties, they said. Five fire tenders are at the spot to douse the blaze that broke out around 8.40 pm, police said.The entire building, located on upscale Belvedere Road, has been evacuated, a senior officer of the fire department said. "The fire is under control at the moment. Our officers are still working there," he said. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, he added.
