Guarseed futures prices increase on spot demand

New Delhi, Guarseed prices rose by Rs 54 to Rs 5,108 per quintal in futures trade on Monday as speculators increased the size of their deals amid a strong trend in the spot market. Guarseed contract for July delivery on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange rose by Rs 54, or 1.06 per cent, to Rs 5,108 per quintal with open interest traded in 36,775 lots. According to market sources, guarseed prices rose mainly due to speculators increasing their deals, strong trend in the spot market and lower supplies from producing regions.
