The Tripura government has increased the wages of tea garden workers from Rs 176 to Rs 204, Labour Minister Tinku Roy announced on June 20. 1,580 bottles of illegal syrup found in train at Tripura

In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Tripura on Wednesday seized 1,580 bottles of Eskuf cough syrup, a banned pharmaceutical product under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, from the Deogarh Express at Agartala Railway Station. The estimated market value of the contraband is pegged at Rs 7.9 lakh in the illegal drug trade. Zinc futures prices upgrade on high demand

New Delhi, June 18: Zinc prices rose by Rs 1.10 to Rs 253.60 per kg in futures trade on Wednesday on strong spot demand. The price of zinc contract for July delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 1.10 or 0.44 per cent to Rs 253.60 per kg in a business turnover of 1,790 lots. Zinc prices rose in futures trade as participants increased their deal sizes following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, market sources said.
