Govt extends Rs 300 LPG subsidy for Ujjwala beneficiaries for FY’25

The Central government on March 7 extended the subsidy of Rs 300 per 14.2 kg LPG cylinder under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) by one year till March 31, 2025. The subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder for PMUY beneficiaries would be given for up to 12 refills a year, said Union Minister Piyush Goyal in a press briefing. Goyal further said that as on March 1, 2024, there are more than 10.27 crore PMUY beneficiaries.
