According to the sources, the Cabinet Ministry of Excise, Parimal Suklabaidya during the Assam Legislative assembly said that 3,003 liquor shops in Assam. As per the Ministry's details Rs. 12.5 crore liquor sold during Magh Bihu, Rs. 8.5 crore during New year eve, Rs. 6.8 crore Diwali and Rs. 22 crore Durga Puja for the year 2023.

In Siliguri one arrested with brown sugar

Recently an individual has been arrested with a significant quantity of brown sugar in Siliguri. The accused has been identified as Ranjit Chhetri, a resident of Jhankar More area.
