Assam woman burnt alive over witchcraft practice

A 30-years-old woman from Assam’s Sonitpur district was brutally attacked and then burnt to death by her neighbors over witchcraft practicing on Monday. According to the sources, the victim is identified as Sangita Kati who was burnt alive by the victims. To police statement seven of them are connected to the incident of which four are arrested. To reports, due to longstanding dispute between the neighbors over various issues, the victim got engaged in witchcraft. Further, search operation is underway to locate and arrest the accused one.

Health ministry updates records of COVID-19 cases

On Tuesday, the health ministry has updated about fresh cases of COVID-19 which is increasing day by day. India has recorded 412 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the country; with this the surge of the cases has gone up to 4,170. According to the sources, India's Covid case tally currently stands at 4,50,09,660. And its death toll record stands at 5,33,337. However, 220. 67 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the country.
