Ten central trade unions observe Bharat bandh today; banks, transport services affected partially

With 10 central unions observing a nationwide strike against new farm and labour laws, public services were affected on November 26. Left parties and trade unions were seen protesting across several states, including, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa and Odisha. Bandhan Bank’s deposit base grows to Rs. 66,127.7-Cr

Financial Results for the second quarter of the financial year 2020-21 have been announced by Bandhan Bank. The Bank’s total business grew 25.90% year-on-year to reach Rs.1,42,742.3-Crore. The Bank started operations in FY15-16 and completed five years of operations in August this year. The Uttar Pradesh government on November 24 approved the draft of a stringent law to deal with religious conversion for the sake of marriage, which BJP leaders refer to as “love jihad“.
