CBI Raids Rs 50 Lakh From 14 Premises Of Congress Leader DK Shivakumar

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday raided the premises of senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar in connection with the alleged corruption case against him. Sources indicated that the CBI raided 14 premises of state Congress chief DK Shivakumar and his brother and MP DK Suresh, including the former’s residence at Doddalahalli, Kanakapura and Sadashiva Nagar, in Bengaluru. The CBI has recovered a total of Rs 50 lakh after the raids, according to news agency PTI. It may be noted that the CBI has registered a case against DK Shivakumar and others on allegations of acquisition of disproportionate assets.…

On Saturday authorities in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras reopened the borders and said that they will allow media to enter the village where a 19-year-old woman was gang-raped, said the official.
