Famous Bengali movie director Tarun Majumdar died at a state-run clinic in Kolkata on Monday morning. He died at the age of 91. The nonagenarian director was critically suffering from kidney ailments for a long time and was admitted to the medical on June 14. His situation deteriorated late on Saturday night time and he had to be put on ventilator support. He died around 11.15am today. The director was conferred with the Padma Shri in 1990. Lalu Prasad admitted to ICU after shoulder fracture

RJD President Lalu Prasad on Monday was admitted to a private hospital due to his illness, less than 24 hours after he had a fall and fractured his shoulder. 49 COVID-19 cases recorded in Ladakh

Ladakh reported 49 new cases of coronavirus, taking the number of COVID-19 cases to 28,513, while 10 patients were discharged from hospitals. According to officials, 228 people have succumbed to Covid-19 in Ladakh. Of these, 168 people died in Leh and 60 in Kargil. Officials said the number of active COVID-19 cases in Ladakh has reached 150 - all in Leh. A total of 589 reported samples were examined in Ladakh. The total number of recoveries stands at 28,138.

CM Eknath Shinde wins vote in Maharashtra
