As 8,084 new coronavirus infections were reported in a day, India's number of Covid-19 cases rose to 4,32,30,101. According to Union Health Ministry data, the daily positivity rate was over three percent after about four months. The death toll rose to 5,24,771 with 10 deaths. Daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.24 percent and weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.21 percent.

Maharashtra's Thane district recorded 616 new Covid cases taking its tally to 7,14,269 on Monday. From reports, these new cases were recorded on Sunday. Since last four days, 500 new cases have been recorded in the district. No new deaths were reported and the death toll in the district remained unchanged at 11,895.
