India records more new COVID-19 cases

After 103 days the country recorded a one-day increase of over 8,000 new COVID-19 cases. According to Union Health Ministry data, the number of infections in India stands at 4,32,13,435, while the number of active cases has reached 40,370. A total of 8,329 new coronavirus cases were reported in the span of 24 hours, while the death toll from the disease reached 5,24,757, with 10 deaths recorded, data updated at 8 am showed. Daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.41 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 1.75 percent.
