India has sent 11 trainees to South Korea to participate in the Korea Skills Transfer for Aspiring Regions (K-STAR) Capacity-building Program for Skills Competition organized by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDK). The potential acquisition of Ford India’s Sanand plant

Karnataka HC stays actress Chythra Hallikeri’s case

The actress filed a complaint against her husband, father-in-law and bank manager for allegedly forging her signature and using her bank account without her knowledge. Senior advocate MS Shyam Sundar, who appeared for Pothraj and his father, said that Chitra was the businessman's estranged wife and filed a false complaint. The court was told that the false complaint was filed after Balaji Pothraj filed a divorce case against his wife. A single-judge bench of the High Court stayed the proceedings and passed an interim order. Besides, the case is ongoing.

Hizb commander killed in encounter

A self-styled Hizbul Mujahideen commander was killed and three soldiers and a civilian were injured in an overnight encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, police said on Saturday. Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar tweeted, “Terrorist Commander of proscribed #terror outfit HM Nisar Khanday killed. #Incriminating materials, #arms & ammunition including 01 AK 47 rifle recovered. #Operation in progress,”. He said three soldiers and a civilian were injured in the initial exchange of fire with the militants.

Elephant tramples man to death in Assam

A 22-year-old man was killed by a wild elephant in Assam's Nagaon district. It is come to know that the died man's name is Vijay Kanwar. He is a resident of Amsoi under the Raha police station in the district. He had gone to the nearby forest to graze his cattle and then he was attacked by a wild elephant. Locals recovered his body and admitted him to a nearby hospital. The forest department has continued patrolling in the area.
