Tamil Nadu CM lays foundation stone in Nilgiris

Puducherry reports new COVID-19 cases

Puducherry recorded seven new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours ending 10 am on Saturday, taking the overall caseload to 1,65,832, a senior health department official said. Director of Health G Sriramulu said the department evaluated 1,251 samples and seven new cases were found during testing. The death toll in the union territory remains at 1,962. The health department has tested 22,42,824 samples so far and 18,87,861 of them have been found negative.

14-year-old girl raped in Nagaur, Rajasthan

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by five people, including four teenagers, in Rajasthan's Nagaur district. The incident took place on April 6 in Chitwa police station area when the girl went to attend a family function. One of the juveniles is a relative of the victim. "A case was registered against five people at Maroth police station yesterday and the accused are being traced," Kuchaman City Circle Officer Sanjeev Katwa said.
