US Vice President Kamala Harris pushes ahead with Vietnam despite mysterious ‘Havana Syndrome’ incident causing delays

US Vice-President Kamala Harris's flight to Vietnam was delayed by several hours due to an "anomalous health incident" with similarities to so-called Havana syndrome, reports say. The mysterious syndrome first affected people at the US and Canadian embassies in Havana in 2016 and 2017. It may be caused by directed microwave radiation. Ms Harris was in Singapore ahead of her visit to Vietnam at the time of the incident in Hanoi. It is unclear who was affected. As many as 16 Afghan evacuees, out of 78 who landed in Delhi yesterday i.e, on Tuesday have tested Covid positive. All the positive people have been admitted to LNJP Hospital and the rest are quarantined at an Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) camp in south-west Delhi's Chhawla.  According to an office memorandum issued by the Union Health Ministry on Monday, people arriving from Afghanistan have to undergo a "mandatory minimum 14-day institutional quarantine" at the ITBP facility. Delhi reports 17 new COVID cases, deaths toll zero

For the fourth consecutive day on Monday, Delhi recorded zero Covid deaths, according to the latest bulletin issued by the health department. The national capital recognized 17 new coronavirus cases during this period, pushing the tally of COVID-19 cases to over 14.37 lakh, while the death toll mounted to 25,079.
