Tata Motors Ltd. has partnered with Welspun Renewable Energy Private Limited (WREPL) to develop an 86 MW wind-solar hybrid renewable energy project that will power four of the automobile major's manufacturing facilities, marking a significant step in its clean energy transition and net-zero ambitions. The project, backed by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and co-investment, will supply renewable power to Tata Motors' commercial vehicle plants in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Karnataka. The project is expected to generate nearly 200 million units of clean electricity annually while offsetting more than 1.4 lakh tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.…
