Kerala reports new 608 Covid-19 cases

Kerala on Tuesday reported its highest single-day spike of 608 virus cases taking the infection tally to 8930 as the death count climbed to 35 with two more fatalities. What is worrying for the state is the number of locally-transmitted cases are going up alarmingly. Out of 608 cases, 398 are locally-transmitted ones. Total lockdown in Bihar

Bihar reported 1,432 new COVID-19 cases taking the total to 18,853 on Tuesday. According to the State Health Department, the total number of cases has reached 18,853 in the state, with 12,364 patients recovered from the viral infection. Complete lockdown will be enforced in Bihar from 16 July to 31 July to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the state. The state government on Tuesday issued guidelines regarding the 16-day lockdown.

A Post Marketing Surveillance (PMS) study on FabiFlu has been commenced by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals to closely monitor the efficacy and safety of the drug in 1000 patients that are prescribed with the oral antiviral. The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday constituted a one-member commission to probe the Kanpur ambush and police encounter with gangster Vikas Dubey.
