After silver, he won the gold one in the 800m men freestyle swimming event and clocked at 8.17.28, which is a massive record. He won silver in the first round of the event, just getting behind a couple of seconds from  the gold medalist. Though in the second round he showed his passion in front of the world. COVID-19 cases declined in the country

India reported 2,183 new coronavirus infections taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,30,44,280, while active cases fell to 11,542, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday. A reduction of 16 cases was recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload within 24 hours. The daily positivity rate was recorded as 0.83 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.32 percent, according to the ministry. The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign have crossed 186.54 crore.
