CERO, India’s first organised vehicle recycling initiative operated by Mahindra MSTC Recycling Pvt. Ltd. (MMRPL), is strengthening Assam’s vehicle scrappage ecosystem through its Government-authorised Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Guwahati. The CERO facility, located at Katanipara, Madanpur, near Madanpur Toll Plaza, Mouza-Madartola, is the only authorised vehicle scrapping centre of its kind in Northeast India. Vehicles from neighbouring states, including West Bengal, are also being brought to the facility for scientific recycling. Manipur Police Burn 39 Kg Drugs in Major Disposal Drive

In a major step under its ongoing anti-drug campaign, Manipur Police on Wednesday destroyed nearly 40 kilograms of seized narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances at a biomedical waste treatment facility in Imphal West district. The disposal exercise was carried out at the SHIJA Common Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facility in Lamdeng as part of the Manipur Police Department’s Pre- and Post-Trial Drug Disposal Programme.
