Tripura Sets Up Special Counters to Provide Low-Cost Fish on New Year’s Day

On the occasion of the Bengali New Year, the Tripura government has taken up multiple initiatives, including the sale of fresh fish at affordable prices across various regions. The Fisheries Department has set up special outlets in Udaipur subdivision of Gomati district and Amarpur. Around 1,500 kilograms of different varieties of fish were sold at Rs 200 per kilograms, bringing relief to consumers. A team from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) visited the long-closed Kailashahar airport on Friday to check its current condition. During their visit, they found that many parts of the airport are badly damaged and not properly maintained. The team included Agartala Airport’s Chief Security Officer S.K. Roy and other officials. 24 Companies of Central Forces Deployed for Tribal Council Polls in Tripura

The Union Home Ministry has sanctioned 24 companies of central paramilitary forces for the April 12 elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council. Four companies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) have already arrived in the state. One company of CAPF generally consists of 100 to 135 personnel.
